why people are against going into iraq, but not against what we have done in afganastan?

i mean lets face it, their is no doubt that saddam is funding some terrorists out there. if for no other reason than the hatred he has for the u.s.a. from what happened in the first gulf war.

NO doubt?
I say bullsh*t to that.
and who says we aren't/weren't against what went on in Afghanistan?
It was a typical yet useless "solution" to 9/11 that did absolutely nothing for those who lost loved ones that day.

"it has done nothing for those who have lost loved ones..."

does you ignorance know no bounds????

perhaps, your ill-advised benevolence has blinded you to reality and common sense.

my God man! wake the F -- up!

how about justice, prevention of further occurrences, liberating the afghan people from the taliban!!!!

God, pull your F-ing head out of the sand!
i really hope you trying to be funny, and really not that senseless!

and don't give me that naive, uninformed retort -- "but this will only spawn more terrorism", and " the afghans will return to the anarchy after we leave"

save it! it is stupid, redundant, and lacks merit.

God, i hope you don't vote.

The Taliban allowed Al Qaeda to operate freely in Afghanistan. And Al Qaeda was the group that attacked the U.S. and would have continued to attack the U.S. So action was just and necessary.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and there is no proof that they have helped any terrorist group that threatens the U.S. They may give the Palestinians money, but Hamas has not threatened or taken action against the U.S. That is Israels' problem, not Americas and it's not my problem. Iraq does not pose any threat to the United States.

It's really not hard to understand.

We were struck by al-qaeda and had to retaliate. We were not struck by Iraq.

"it's really not hard to understand...."

my point exactly, one exception -- you forgot the FACTS!

hussein signed a un treaty in 1991 to inact a cease fire. a treaty he ignored the day after he signed it.
shortly thereafter he ruthlessly killed ethnic uprisings in north and south iraq. to prevent this from happening the us with the un's blessing established no fly zones to protect these innocent people. these zones were/are expensive and dangerous to maintain -- france quit aiding the enforcement back in 93 and the us and britian were left to do it on their own. every day iraq would shoot at our jets in these areas
furthermore, hussein tried to assassinate our president -- i s'pose you are the kind of puss that if somone tried to kill your brother, you would forgive him.
hussein also is rewarding palestinian families of suicide bombers with $25,000 cash.
hussein has chemical and biological weapons, and was developing long range missle capablities (thanks to france, and china).
he has refused to disarm repeatedly!
there really isn't one good LOGICAL reason not liberate iraq.

it just amazes me of uninformed so many of you are. it's quite frightening really. quit being so damned intellectually lazy -- learn something!

It is amazing how many uninformed comments people are making, simply amazing. Thanks, Satan - the comic relief you're providing to at least some people is much needed - keep up the fine work.

Simple RPM,

The twin towers fell down and Bin Laden took credit for it.

Saddam, despite having his country destroyed once already (providing more than motive), has not retaliated in all of 12 years.

The Baath party kills any opposition in iraq.
The greatest opposition comes from the islamic fundamentalist movement who Saddam has murdered and terrorised.
Iraq is one of the most religiously secular places(or was) in the entire middle east.

How many of you guys know that the foreign minister, Taraq Aziz is a Christian?

Saddam wipes out any fundamentalist opposition in Iraq. Its one of his biggest problems.

Saddam HATES extremist moslems.

But Im sure that CNN muppet news on the hour every hour has told you all about that chit. Right?
